5 Days Athens, Delphi & Saronic Islands
DAY 01 – Athens
Upon arrival at Athens Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. the rest of the day and evening is yours to explore at leisure. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 02 – Athens- City Tour ( B )
Breakfast
Breakfast at hotel then join the half day morning regular group tour which takes you to visit the Acropolis (Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and Parthenon) and the New Acropolis Museum. During the drive to the monuments you will have opportunity to see some of the important sights such as Constitution Square (Syntagma), House of Parliament, Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library, Evzone soldiers in their traditional uniforms, the Presidential Palace and Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Your afternoon and evening are free for you to further explore the city (Plaka, Monesteraki flea market, etc) at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 03 – Delphi (or Argolis) Sightseeing Tour ( B / L )

Today you have the choice to join on either the full day Delphi Tour or full day Argolis Tour.
Delphi: Drive through the fertile plain of Boeotia, going through the towns of Thebes, Levadia and Arachova, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as its wine and cheese. Delphi was known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In Delphi visit the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the world-famous Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer.
Argolis: Follow the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Mycenae and visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs. Depart for Nafplio, a quaint seaaport town that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf. Admire the ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. In the afternoon, we leave for Epidauros to visit the theatre (4th century BC) renowned for its amazing acoustics. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 04 – Saronic Island Cruise ( B / L )
Breakfast & Lunch
Transfer to Piraeus for embarkation. Then we set sail for the island of Hydra where you have time (around 1 hour) for a stroll, shopping or swimming. Then sail for Poros, the smallest of the three islands, separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow strait and offering a most enchanting view of Poros Town. Lunch will be served during the voyage. On board again and after a two hour trip arrive to the last port of call, the island of Aegina. Here you once again have some free time at leisure to stroll around or swim weather permitting. Optional excursion, by bus, to the well-preserved Temple of Afea Athena. Embarkation for the return voyage. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 05 – Athens -Departure ( B )

Breakfast, check-out and according to your international flight schedule transfer to Athens Airport.
