20 Days Best Turkey Tour

Day 1- Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey! Arrive at Istanbul airport and you will be met at the airport by our driver then transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day offers free time for you to relax or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2- Istanbul- Walking City Tour ( B / L )

Breakfast at your hotel then pick up for our Istanbul city tour. We embark on a classic guided walking tour of the old city’s main highlights. The old city is filled with parks, gardens and historical sights. Today we will see Byzantian and Ottoman relics. We will visit Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace and Little Hagia Sophia Mosque. End of the tour transfer to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3- Istanbul- Bosphorus & Two Continents Tour ( B / L )

Istanbul is a fascinating city to explore and the only city in the world to straddle two continents-Europe and Asia. We will cruise between two continents on the Bosphorus Straits, the stretch of water that separates Europe from Asia.

We will see the City walls, Golden Horn, Spice Market, Rumeli Fortress (view from the boat), Bosphorus Bridge, Camlica Hill, Beylerbeyi Palace. End of the tour transfer to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4- Istanbul- Princes’ Islands Tour ( B / L )

Breakfast at your hotel then pick up for our daily Princes’ Islands Tour.

Cruise on the Marmara Sea to Princes’ Islands retreats for the Byzantine princes, famous for their beautiful pine woods and beaches. The largest and the most enjoyable of these islands is Buyukada although we pass four smaller islands as we cruise out. You can enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage known as a phaeton among the scented pine woods and relax on the beaches in the numerous coves along its coast. Return in the evening to Istanbul and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 5- Gallipoli Tour (  L )

Pick up from your hotel at 06:30 – 07:00am then depart for afternoon tour of Gallipoli. Listen to the harrowing story of the World War I from your guide. Gallipoli witnessed some of World War I’s most intense fighting with around 100,000  killed and 400,000 wounded. Once the site of fierce fighting and today almost hauntingly beautiful, with its wooded landscape dotted with understated memorials to the war dead. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuc Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly and Gallipoli Museum. End of the tour transfer to your hotel and overnight in Canakkale.

Day 6- Troy – Pergamon Tour ( B / L )

Breakfast at your hotel then we will drive to Troy, visit the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan horse from the times of Beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta and Paris the Trojan Prince, all as described in Homer’s Iliad. We continue to the ancient town of Pergamon with its magnificent acropolis and one of the steepest theatres in the world. Its impressive temples, library and medical facilities made it a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. Then we will appreciate a display of locally handcrafted leather goods. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 7- Kusadası- Ephesus Tour ( B / L

Breakfast at your hotel then Pick up for our full day guide Ephesus Tour. Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus  and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the World. Then visit Ephesus Ancient City, the best-preserved Greco-Roman city in the world. Here you will explore the Agora, Odeon, Celsius Library, Hadrian Temple, Roman Baths, Grand Theatre and Marble Street. Ephesus contains the largest collection of Roman ruins in the eastern Mediterranean. After a lunch break, visit the House of Virgin Mary, (supposedly where St. John brought her to live out her final days). End of the tour transfer to your hotel and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 8- Pamukkale Tour ( B / L )

Breakfast at your hotel then we will head to the magnificent white calcium terraces, known as travertines, in Pamukkale where we also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. Take a dip, among the ancient columns, in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their healing powers. Also we will visit the ancient ruins of the City of Hierapolis with its theatre and Necropolis, the main street, gates, the thermal baths, the Greco Roman theatre and the Basilica of St. Philippe. Swim in a theraputic bath of hot spring mineral waters. Overnight Pamukkale.

Day 9- Pamukkale to Bodrum ( B )

Breakfast at your hotel in Pamukkale then you will take a bus to Bodrum which will take about five hours by comfortable, air-conditioned, non-smoking bus. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Bodrum. The remainder of the day offers free time for you to relax or explore the town on your own. Overnight in Bodrum.

Day 10- Bodrum- Boat Tour ( B / L )

Breakfast followed a day at sea with lunch included and served on board. We set out at approx. 11:00 to cruise the turquoise seas of the Bodrum coastline. We will visit several of the most beautiful bays where you can swim and snorkel in crystal-clear water or simply relax, soak up the sun and enjoy the amazing views to the sound of the gently lapping wavelets. At the black island, half an hour from Bodrum, you can bath in the grotto which is famous for its healing mineral springs. The water comes out of a cave and the mud from the cave is said to be good for skin condition. Back on land at approx. 17:00. Overnight in Bodrum.

Day 11- Bodrum to Marmaris ( B )

Breakfast at your hotel then you will take a bus to Marmaris which will take about two hours, arrival and transfer to your hotel, the remainder of the day offers free time for you to relax or explore the town on your own. Overnight in Marmaris.

Day 12- Marmaris to Fethiye ( B )

Breakfast at your hotel then take a bus to Fethiye which will take about three hours, arrival and transfer to your hotel in Fethiye and the remainder of day is free to explore the town at leisure. Overnight in Fethiye.

Day 13- Fethiye-12 Islands Boat Tour ( B / L )

We would like to invite you to enjoy  the romantic bays of the Mediterranean Sea on a Fethiye cruise at traditional double decked Turkish wooden boat. Day 14- Fethiye to Antalya ( B )

Breakfast at your hotel then take a bus to Antalya which will take about four hours, arrival and transfer to your hotel in Antalya and the remainder of day is free to explore the town at leisure, overnight in Antalya.

Day 15- Antalya- Perge, Aspendos, Side Tour ( B / L )

After breakfast at your hotel then we will head to our daily Perge Aspendos Side Tour with our guide. You will see;

Perge: It was settled by the Hittites around 1500 BC. An important trade route starting from Side ran through Perge. It is also famous by the fact that when St. Paul started his journeys, he visited Perge in 46 A. D. and preached his first sermon here. Perge became an important city for the Christians during Byzantine period. It is one of the better-preserved archaeological sites in Turkey.

Aspendos: is famous for its best-preserved theater of antiquity built in the 2nd c. AD with a capacity of 15, 000 people. It was built by Romans and maintained by Byzantines and Seljuks. Still used today for performances and festivals, the theater’s galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to its architect Xenon’s success. Next to the stage there is a small room which is used as a small museum where you can see some of the masks and clay tickets. Nearby stand the remains of a basilica, agora and one of the largest aqueducts in Anatolia. Here you can visit also the acropolis of the city with a great view of the river.

Side is one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. It was an ancient harbour which meant pomegranate in local dialect. Today it is a pretty resort town with its ancient ruins, two sandy beaches and numerous shops.

Kursunlu Waterfall is a waterfall which, in the summer, is reduced to a mere trickle. The waterfall is on one of the tributaries of the Aksu river and its situation in the midst of a pine forest is of stunning beauty. The countryside around the water forms a lovely picnic and relaxing area only twenty minutes from the Antalya city centre.

Day 16- Antalya to Konya ( B )

Breakfast at your hotel then take a bus to Konya which will take about six hours, arrival and transfer to your hotel in Konya. It is the hometown of great islamic philosopher Mevlana Jalaleddin-i Rumi. He was a Muslim poet and mystic and one of the great spiritual thinkers and teachers of all time. The remainder of day is free to explore the town at leisure, overnight in Konya.

Day 17- Konya to Cappadocia ( B )

Breakfast at the hotel , it is your free time in Konya, be mesmerised by the hypnotic rituals of the devout Whirling Dervishes in their hometown of Konya. Visit Mevlana Museum and the tomb of Mevlana Jalaleddin-i Rumi, walk by the historical markets area visiting the historic remains of the 13th century’s Seljuk’s capital city. Have a cup of tea at Alaeddin Hill and visit the Alaeddin Mosque.

We will transfer you to the bus station to take a bus to Cappadocia that will take just under four hours, arrival and transfer to your hotel, overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 18- Cappadocia- North Tour (B / )   

Hot Air Balloon Flight is highly recommended.

Breakfast at your hotel then pick up for North Tour. Walk into valleys honeycombed with rock-hewn cave churches, underground cities, prehistoric rock formations and “fairy chimneys” in Cappadocia. Visit Goreme Open Air Museum with its astonishing monastic centre and vibrant frescoes, Devrent Valley  (imagination valley ) to see the unique rock formations. Drive to Pasabag (Monks Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles, Uchisar Rock Castle, Avanos famous throughout Turkey for its pottery and painted tiles, Urgup’s fairy chimneys.

Photo opportunities are everywhere so have your cameras ready! Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. End of the tour transfer to your hotel and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 19  – Cappadocia – South Tour ( B / L ) 

Breakfast at your hotel and depart for your full day guided tour of Southern Cappadocia. Our day begins at Pigeon Valley to see old pigeon houses aredovecots carved into the surrounding cliff walls, the pigeon droppings that litter the area have been used as fertilizer on crops for generations.  A visit to one of the extraordinary underground cities of Derinkuyu where Christians hid in fear and faith. Selime Village to see the biggest Roman Monastery carved out of the soft volcanic rock. Visit Ihlara Valley, the most beautiful gorge in Cappadocia whose banks are lined with Byzantine painted churches.

At the end of your tour we transfer you to airport for a flight to Istanbul, after arrive in Istanbul, transfer to hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 20- Istanbul    ( B )

After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends and depending on your international flight schedule we transfer you to the airport and say  ”have a good flight ”.
